Jesus Christ

Who exactly is Jesus Christ? Contrasting the very question, does God the father really exist out there? Very few individuals have actually questioned if Jesus Christ existed also. It is commonly admitted that Jesus Christ was truly a mere man that strolled on the land of Israel, about two thousand years back now. The contest begins while the theme of Jesus' complete identity is analyzed.

Most major religions teach that Jesus Christ was just a prophet, or maybe a good teacher, or just a devout man. The issue is this; the Bible informs us that Jesus Christ was much more than a mere prophet, a good teacher, or perhaps a devout man.

Let's See Now, Who Claimed To Be Jesus?

What says the Bible that He was? First, let's look at the words of Jesus in John 10:30, I and the Father are one. At the very first sight, it would not seem to claim to be God. Nevertheless, look at the response of the Jews in His very own word (the Bible). For a good work (behaviour) we are not going stone you, however for blasphemy; simply because you,( Jesus) being a man, (claiming God) make yourself God the father (John 10:33). Paraphrase

In these verses of the Bible, Jesus by no means corrects the Jews out there by telling them; He is not the father (God). This implies that Jesus Christ was actually saying that He (Jesus) was God in action, I Jesus and the Father (God) are one (John 10:30). See also John account at 8:58 that is another classical instance. Jesus proclaimed, verily verily, I say to you, before the father Abraham was, I am! Then they took stones to throw at Jesus (the book of John 8:59). Jesus, make known His uniqueness or identity being I am, is such an unswerving submission of bible Old Testament name of our God (Exodus 3:14).

Again, why did the Jews really want to stone Jesus Christ, if perhaps He had not stated something which they believed was blasphemous, specifically, an affirmation of being God?

Who Says Jesus Is God? Why Must You Agree So?

John 1: 1 says that the Word was God. John 1:14 says that the Word was made flesh. This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Thomas, the disciple of Jesus, said, My Lord and my God (John 20:28). Jesus did not correct it.

One of the Apostles, precisely Peter says the same thing, our God, and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1: 1). God the Father also witnesses the complete identity of Jesus, but about the Son he says, your throne, O God, is eternal and forever; Scepter of justice is the scepter of your kingdom.  The prophecies of Christ of the Old Testament announce His deity.

CS Lewis, a great writer argued, believing in Jesus as a good teacher is not an option. Clearly and undeniably Jesus claimed to be God. If He is not God, then he is a liar, and therefore he is not a prophet, a good teacher or a devout man. In trying to explain Jesus' words, modern scholars declare that the very historical Jesus Christ never say some of the things which the Holy Bible points to him.

However, who are we to disagree with the Word of God, referring to what Jesus said or maybe did not say? How in the world could a researcher who is very far from Jesus around 2,000 years, have a better perception of what Jesus said or not, than the one who lived, served and was trained by Jesus Christ himself (John 14:26)?

Why Is The Very Question Regarding The True Identity Of Jesus So Vital?

And Why is it so important that Jesus is truly God or not? The most important reason why Jesus has to be God is that if He is not God, His death would not have been enough to pay the penalty for the sins (shortcoming) of the whole world. (1 John 2: 2). Only God, the father, can pay such an unfathomable or the enduring penalty (Romans 5: 8, 2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus needed to be God so that he Jesus Christ could pay our very own debt.

Lastly, Jesus Christ also had to be a mere man like you and I, so that he JESUS can die.  The great Salvation is accessible only through grace and faith in Jesus Christ! The deity of Jesus is the reason why Jesus is the only way to God great salvation out there. (See John 14: 6). Paraphrase
